![]() ![]() This all sounds very negative but I still recommend it. My friends and I lost, many hours into the game and didn’t have it in us to start over. It’s also difficult and wants to be roguelite-ish, and I wish it didn’t. It’s a bit slow because of it’s turn based nature. Genital Jousting : dick jokes the game, funny for an hour or two if that’s your thingit.įor the King : Turn based RPG. Moving Out : Overcooked but you work for a moving company The lack of map variety makes me sad because it has very fun and unique characters. Lara Croft Guardian of Light / Temple of Osiris : Another Hack N Slash ? Hope I’m not misusing the name, this one has guns and puzzles.ĭarksburg : Another Hack N Slash, slightly worse than the previous ones. Killsquad : Another Hack N Slash I’d recommend if you enjoy the genre. Easy to play with some complex characters like the wizard or the necromancer (DLC character I regret buying) Gauntlet : Fantasy hack n slash modernized/remade by the devs of Magicka and Helldivers. ![]() Later levels are locked to higher difficulties, which might be frustrating for some. Great for novices to the genre (like me). Very tense and requires good communication with 2 players, might be less chaotic with 4 players. * Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime : Hard to describe but easy to recommend! Very cute game where you’re in a spaceship with multiple stations to be manned (guns, shields, piloting, missiles), and you constantly have to run from one to another to shoot a threat, protect yourself, or navigate. * Aragami : Good co-op stealth games can be counted on one hand, this is one of them I recall some frustating maps where I didn’t know where to go next. Other players are only guests in the host’s world, they can help with missions and find loot but can’t build their own base or contribute much and can’t stray far from the host.Ĭontagion : Slightly difficult and very atmospheric Zombie first-person shooter, plays better than No More Room in Hell. ![]() State of Decay 2 : Great zombie third-person shooter with base-building, co-op however was disappointing. Deep character appearance customization, but that’s not my thing. Very unique in the way that it lets you switch builds on the fly. You can have Partner AI on top of co-op, but they are a bit too strong (treat having one as an easier difficulty setting). Loved the weapon cataclysts that let you heavily invest in weapon upgrades with no strings attached.Ĭode Vein : High budget anime Souls-like, well polished, the co-op is better than in actual Souls games. Bonus points for letting you revive your partner and not kicking you out when someone dies. * Hellpoint : Sci-fi Souls-like with robust co-op and a lot of « soul », I highly recommend this one. * Broforce : Amazing run and gun platformer with famous characters from 80s-90s movies. * Ibb & Obb : very clever use of co-op for this challenging puzzle platformer Struggling : Platformer where each player controls half of a mutant with two heads and two arms Has a friend pass (only one person needs to buy it). It needs more intense action or more difficult puzzles. I was a bit let down by this one, especially after playing We Were Here. Operation Tango : Asymmetric co-op spy/puzzle game, one player is the man in the chair and one player is a field agent. I've played all but the latest and they don't get old, they get more and more creative. Can get difficult, sometimes frustrating if one of the players is missing a clue. *We Were Here series : Asymmetric escape room style puzzle games that rely heavily on communication. If you've tried some of them and have something to add or a different opinion I'd love to read it! Bold titles for visibility, stars on my favorites. here I’ll try to recommend some titles you don’t hear about as much. and some pretty good games you'll find on most critically acclaimed lists: It Takes Two, Overcooked, Trine. I've spent hundreds of hours in a couple of them and I’d greatly recommend them, but you've probably heard of them: Left 4 Dead, Killing Floor, Payday, Risk of Rain, Deep Rock Galactic, Vermintide, etc. Co-op is my thing, online with my friends or locally with my wife. I never got into competitive games like Counter Strike, MOBAs or Battle Royales.
